I have had an allergy to dogs for the last 10 years, every time I would come in close contact with them, I would start to sneeze and cough.  When my children asked for a puppy, I didn’t want to punish them for my allergies and got them one.  I learned after I got the puppy that every time he would lick or scratch me I would break out in a severe skin reaction.  I loved the puppy, but I could not take it anymore, it was the puppy or me.
